UEFA revealed the Round of 16 fixtures as fans will be able to track their favourite teams’ progress to the final of the 2025/26 Champions League on Friday, which saw a historic match Real Madrid vs Manchester City at the Round of the 16 stage as the headline of the draw.
It is the right moment for the campaign of Los Blancos after a difficult aggregate win against Benfica, a match in which the racial abuse allegedly directed at Vinicius Junior affected the players. Now, Madrid will be challenged by City, who beat them 2-1 at the Bernabéu earlier this season and will be eager to get back at them.

Newcastle United, after an overwhelming 9-3 aggregate victory in the play-off against Qarabag, have the chance of a nostalgic “early 2000s” throwback against Barcelona. On top of that, Bodo/Glimt, the dark horse of the tournament, are aiming to extend their pantomime season against Sporting CP after shocking Inter Milan.
The current champions, PSG, will meet Chelsea in a very intriguing and tense match, and Arsenal, the League Phase league winners, are going to Germany for their game against Bayer Leverkusen.
From the draw, we can see that there is a possible Liverpool Vs PSG quarter-final clash and that the road for Arsenal to the final on 30th May in Budapest could involve a meeting with Barcelona in the semi-final. The matches of the first leg will be on 10th and 11th March and the second legs will follow just one week later.
