Access Holdings Plc has declared Bolaji Agbede as the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer after the untimely passing of Herbert Wigwe.
The board of Directors of Access Holdings Plc had revealed this in a statement early on Tuesday, February 13.
Ms. Agbede had until her appointment, been the most senior founding executive director in charge of business support within the company.
With this appointment, she will take charge of the helm of the affairs of Access Holdings Plc subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
This change marks a significant point in the company’s history as it steers the challenges of sudden leadership change.
Agbede holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Lagos (1990) and a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield University in 2002.
She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management, UK, and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
Recall that Wigwe, along with his wife and son, and the former Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, had died in a helicopter crash in California, United States, on Friday.
