Kim Kardashian has revisited one of the darkest nights of her life, revealing she believed she would be raped and killed during the 2016 armed robbery in Paris — a trauma she was forced to confront again nearly nine years later as she returned to France to testify against the suspects.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star became emotional while recalling the terrifying ordeal as cameras followed her back to Paris for the long-delayed trial involving the men accused of carrying out the robbery that made global headlines.
Kardashian recounted how, as she lay bound, gagged and held at gunpoint, her only thoughts were about the safety of her children.
“My instant reaction was: I have babies… please don’t kill me. They can take whatever they want,” she said.

The attack happened during Paris Fashion Week in 2016. After returning early to her private apartment while her sisters and security team continued their night out, men posing as police officers broke into the residence. They forced the building’s concierge to escort them to Kardashian’s room, where they restrained her with zip ties and wrapped her face with tape.
She remembered her overwhelming fear as the intruders ransacked the room.
“I kept asking the concierge, ‘Are we going to die?’” she recalled. “I thought that was it.”
Her friend, Simone Harouche, who hid in another part of the building during the incident, said the screams made her fear the worst.
It took French investigators five years to build their case, and additional delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2024 Paris Olympics pushed the trial even further. Now, five men are facing charges for the robbery itself, while five others are accused of assisting them.
Kardashian said she feels relieved to finally confront the suspects in court.
“I just want to tell my story and get it over with,” she said, acknowledging that “In 2016, my life changed forever.”
While the theft included expensive items — notably a $4 million engagement ring — she said the psychological damage was far more severe. She endured years of fear, slept with security nearby and stopped wearing high-value jewellery in public.
One of the accused, Yunice Abbas, has previously expressed that he felt “no guilt” over the robbery, though he admitted the emotional scars left behind are undeniable: “You don’t come out of it unscathed.”
Supported by her mother, Kris Jenner, and Harouche, Kardashian’s return to Paris marks her attempt to finally close a painful chapter that continues to shape her life.
The trial is ongoing and is expected to stretch into the coming weeks as the world watches to see whether justice will finally be delivered.
