Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed her painful journey of experiencing six miscarriages, disclosing that the most recent occurred in February 2025.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the singer recounted the heartbreaking experience, explaining that the loss happened after she had passed the three-month stage of pregnancy.

She described how what began as mild cramps quickly turned into a distressing situation.

How I Survived Six Miscarriages — Judikay

“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant for well over three months. One of these days, I was going about my day when I started to experience cramps,” she said.

“I said, ‘Oh, okay, it was one of those things.’ And then trickles of blood, and I said, ‘Oh, spotting’. If you are a woman who has been pregnant before, you will know what spotting refers to.

“And then I had the urge to use the washroom. And what I thought should be urine was blood. It did not stop. It kept flowing. And I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.

“This baby that I lost, that has gone past three months, mark the sixth one.”

Judikay disclosed that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure after diagnosing a missed miscarriage.

“I was rushed to the hospital, and they did a D&C on me because it was a missed miscarriage,” she added.

Reflecting on the aftermath, the singer admitted that although she initially tried to remain strong, she later struggled with intense emotional pain, especially during quiet moments.

“And when I returned home, I thought I was okay. I had cried and shouted whilst they broke the baby and brought the pieces.

“Everyone would ask, and I would say God gets the glory.

“But then in the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express. I would wail and cry and say, ‘Jesus, where are you?”

The singer, known for songs like More Than Gold, is married to Anselem Opara, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022.
