The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA has asked the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Yushau Dogara, to dismantle a particular syndicate issuing fake NYSC certificates to members of the public.
The Human rights association, on Thursday, February 9, during a press conference in Abuja stated that it suspected the existence of a syndicate in the national scheme. The association also revealed that it believes that the duty of the syndicate was to lure unsuspecting members of the public, particularly dubious politicians to dupe them.
According to HURIWA, the certificates being issued were tagged “Oluwole NYSC Certificates,” alleging that the members of the syndicate might also be members of the scheme.
HURIWA further urged the new DG to set up a committee to look into the matter and arrest the syndicate members involved in the dastardly act.
