Atedo Peterside, the founder of Anap Foundation, has said that he doesn’t recognize Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February 25th presidential election until the Court declares that the results uploaded by INEC are true, only then will he congratulate him.
He said this statement in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday, According to him if the Judges can prove that the election was free and fair and that the person that emerged as the winner polled the highest vote, then he would send in his congratulations.
He further said that currently, the results are being contested in courts, owing that the entire results have not been uploaded on the IReV portal so it’ll be premature to send in his congratulations.
He said, “If they go through this process and the judges convince us everything was done correctly and we adopt the numbers, whoever is the winner, I will congratulate the person.
“But for now it is premature. When I can see with my own eyes what INEC has uploaded, it is an insult to everybody’s intelligence; it is premature. People who are rushing to congratulate him have not taken the trouble to even look at the available information or the evidence.”
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner of the February 25th presidential election, although some other candidates are yet to agree that he won the elections fair and square, many people have already congratulated the president-elect.
