THREE individuals were killed and four others were injured in a new shooting in the United States.

According to reports, the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the Beverly Crest neighborhood. This is at least California’s sixth mass shooting this month. Four more people were being treated in hospitals on Saturday, two of them critically.

According to the report, emergency personnel hurried to the upscale address in Los Angeles’ Benedict Canyon neighborhood overnight and discovered three persons dead in a vehicle parked outside.

According to metro.us, Huu Can Tran, 72, gunned down guests at a ballroom dance venue in primarily Asian Monterey Park last Saturday, where tens of thousands had attended Lunar New Year festivities earlier that evening. He attempted to drive to another dance club but was stopped by an employee. Many of those who perished were in their 60s and 70s.

Tran later committed suicide as police surrounded the van in which he was sitting.

Authorities reported that on Monday, a man shot and killed four people at the mushroom farm where he worked before driving to another farm where he had previously worked and killing three people there. Chunli Zhao, 66, is being held on murder charges in what police are calling a workplace violence case.

The killings have thrown a blow to the state, which has some of the strictest weapons rules in the country and one of the lowest rates of gun deaths.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, the United States had over 600 mass shootings in 2022, with at least four people killed or injured for the third year in a row.
