In India, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had on Wednesday, June 5, submitted his resignation letter to the President, Droupadi Murmu, after his cabinet called tor the breakup of the lower house of parliament, Lok Sabha.
According to reports from the House, President Murmu had accepted the resignation letter of Modi and the council of ministers with the simple ask for Modi to continue in his Prime Minister duties until a new government is instituted.
Modi’s resignation is coming ad part of the protocol that were usually followed before a new government was formed in the country.
Earlier today, on Wednesday, June 5, the Election Commission of India released an official report on its website suggesting that the ruling National Democratic Alliance, led by Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party, would form the next government.
