The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for registered voters in Ondo State will begin on Thursday, ahead of the November 16, 2024 governorship election.

Sam Olumekun, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, confirmed in a statement that 89,777 new PVCs have been printed and delivered, including 58,708 for new voters and 31,069 for those who applied for transfers or replacements.

PVCs will be available for collection at 221 centres across the state. Collection will take place in two phases: from October 17 to 21 at all 203 wards, and from October 23 to 29 at INEC’s 18 local government offices. The collection hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, including weekends.

INEC also emphasized that PVC collection must be done in person and cannot be done by proxy. Detailed information on collection centres is available on INEC’s website and social media platforms.
