INEC creates extra registration centers in Anambra State

The Independent National Electoral Commission has added to the registration centers in Anambra State. Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner announced in a press briefing that twenty-five centers have been added to the centers bringing the total centers to eighty-seven centers.

The new centers were created to contain the surge of voter registration in the state. Centers that had been closed have also been opened to continue registration for the permanent voters’ card.

The Commissioner also added that the procedure for getting registered has also been organized. The people starting a fresh registration have been separated from those updating their registration.

“These services can be obtained through the Commission’s CVR Portal. However, we have deployed personnel to assist those who cannot access the online portal at the various registration centers. In areas where the security situation permits, we would extend our time of operation, which is 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. We would continue to expand our public communication to inform and educate members of the public,” he said.
