The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has omitted Albert Agulanna, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in Imo State, from the electoral list of House of Representatives candidates for the upcoming February 25 elections.
Recall that Agulanna is the sacked PDP candidate who had been looking to represent the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency of the state in the House of Representatives.
The withdrawal of Agulanna’s name had come after an order of the Appeal Court in January and the electoral commission had cited ‘court order’ as one of the reasons for the withdrawal while also ruling for a fresh primary to be held in the constituency within 2 weeks.
On Tuesday, February 21, the apex court resumed hearing the suit and after several processes, adjourned the case till March 3 for the ruling.
