To help the smooth movement of personnel and materials in the upcoming general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Bauchi State recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with transport unions in the state.
The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Nura revealed that the agreement was initially signed at the national level and then replicated at the state and local government levels.
Nura noted that the commission had distributed non-sensitive materials to the local government areas while adding that the distribution of sensitive election materials would commence on Thursday, 24 February 2023.
Nura then reiterated its commitment to conduct free, fair, and credible elections, while asking voters to be orderly during the election.
