Nigerian singer Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, popularly known as Seyi Shay, has admitted that she was once affiliated with the Illuminati.
While speculation about Nigerian celebrities’ links to the secretive society has persisted for years, Seyi Shay’s revelation is among the rare instances of an artist openly confirming such an association.
During an appearance on the OffAir Podcast with Gbemi and Toolz, the singer behind Yolo Yolo discussed her past involvement, describing it as a specific phase in her career.
“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. Do you understand? I was an Illuminati member,” she said.
She went on to note that while fans might not be aware of these connections, insiders within the entertainment industry often recognize those who have had ties to the group.
“It’s not the fans, guys. It’s the people in the industry… the ones who work with me, work with her, work with that one,” Seyi Shay added.
