The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has declared May 30 as a sit-at-home day in the South-East to honor its fallen heroes and those who died during the civil war.
According to the pro-Biafran group, the lockdown would be total as every economic, social, religious, and political activity in the region would be suspended the only exception being for hospitals, doctors, nurses, ambulances, and other health workers.
This move had been revealed by Emma Powerful, the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, on Monday, May 8 while calling on industries, companies, transport companies (air, land, and sea) hotels, schools, and churches to honor the heroes and close down their Institutions.
