At least five people have been reportedly killed in Aba on Friday, March 31, as security agencies challenged protesters reported to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra in Aba, Abia State.
According to reports, the IPOB members, all dressed in white, had staged a protest calling on the Federal Government to effect the release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
A source had additionally disclosed that the protest began from Assa Road through Azikiwe Road and that the soldiers had begun shooting on getting to Amaogbonna.
Meanwhile, all efforts to reach the Army, through its spokesman, and the Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, for comments have been unsuccessful.
