Hamas-affiliated news agency, Shehab, has reported that three sons and three grandchildren of Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh have been assassinated in an Israeli airstrike launched at a Gaza refugee camp.
Haniyeh had revealed to Al Jazeera that his children had been visiting relatives for Eid celebrations at the Shati refugee camp when they were targeted.
The Hamas chief had condemned what he described as Israel’s brutality, but he had stressed that Palestinian leaders will not surrender if their families and homes were targeted.
There is no doubt that this criminal enemy is driven by the spirit of revenge and the spirit of murder and bloodshed, and it does not observe any standards or laws.
Haniyeh had lamented that 60 members of his family have been murdered since the war began.
To corroborate this news, Gaza’s media office confirmed that Haniyeh’s children and grandchildren were dispatched by Israeli fighter jets when a “civilian vehicle” was targeted on the first day of Eid el-Fitr.
Many of his children and grandchildren had been in the vehicle targeted.
The office had said,
“We strongly condemn Israel’s incessant attacks against our Palestinian people.”
They had also added that at least 125 bodies of killed Palestinians had arrived at various hospitals in the past day alone.
The statement also added that it held the US administration, the international community responsible, and the Israeli military responsible for all the killings and crimes in the ongoing genocide.
