The shocking news got out today that, Julia Ituma, 18 years old volleyball star who plays for the Novara team was found dead in front of a hotel in Istanbul.
According to reports she might have fallen off From her room window, as she lodged on the sixth floor of the hotel in Instabul either in an attempt to commit suicide or maybe by accident.
It is quite shocking as her team just lost to Eczacibas in the Champions League Semi-Finals, and she lodged in an hour in Instabul only to be discovered dead this morning.
Her death was confirmed by her club, which said that they are shocked by her death which affects all of them.
He further said her death is being investigated by Turkish police, they further sympathized with the family of the deceased and promise to provide adequate support to the family.
Her club announced, “with deep sorrow and emotion the untimely death of Italian volleyball player Julia Ituma.”
“The tragedy occurred in the early hours of the day and the specifics of the incident are being investigated by the Turkish police,” the Italian club added.
“We are all dismayed by this tragedy which affects not only the volleyball world but all of Italian sport,” Italian Volleyball Federation President Giuseppe Manfredi said in a statement.
“My first thought goes to Julia’s family, to whom I send my deepest condolences and I guarantee that the Italian Volleyball Federation will provide maximum support.”
Many persons have refused to accept that she mistakenly fell off on her own, they suspect that someone could have pushed the Italian born of Nigeria origin to her death and that the police should investigate the case properly.
