Jannik Sinner has split from coach Darren Cahill after five years to team up with former world number two Magnus Norman.
The world number one announced the news in a video posted on social media, thanking the Australian for his role in shaping his career.
“I owe a big part of me, as a player and person, to you,” Sinner added.
“Five seasons and not one day I can forget. Thanks, bro, for all. Was a pleasure.”
Cahill helped Sinner develop from a highly rated teenage prodigy to one of the top players on the men’s tour and was working with the Italian and his team, including coach Simone Vagnozzi, who joined Sinner’s team last year.

Norman, 50, is likely to replace Cahill. He had previously coached Robin Soderling to two French Open finals and has been instrumental in Stan Wawrinka’s three Grand Slam victories.
Initially set to depart in 2025, Cahill extended his contract and announced at the start of the grass court season that he would stay until the end of 2026.
Sinner has been out of action with a recurring knee injury since he claimed his maiden Wimbledon title in July and is scheduled to make his return at the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Saudi Arabia in December.
He will not take part in the other ATP events for the rest of the year and therefore Zverev is assured to end 2026 on top of the ATP rankings.
