British singer Jessie J has announced that she is now cancer-free, nearly a year after being diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
The 37-year-old artiste, born Jessica Cornish, revealed in June 2025 that she had been diagnosed with “early breast cancer,” prompting her to take a break from performing to undergo surgery and treatment.
“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early’,” she had said at the time.
In a recent update shared on Instagram, Jessie J posted a video of herself undergoing an MRI scan as part of her follow-up medical checks.

In the caption, she expressed overwhelming relief after receiving her results.
“Results are in and I am cancer free!! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year,” she wrote.
The singer has been open about her health struggles over the years, including being diagnosed with a heart condition in childhood, suffering a stroke as a teenager, and experiencing temporary deafness in 2020 due to Ménière’s disease. In 2024, she also disclosed that she had been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD.
Born and raised in London, Jessie J began performing at the age of 11 and rose to fame with a distinctive style that blends pop, R&B, soul, electropop, and hip-hop influences.
