Shortly after the Amber Heard defamation trial, where he emerged the winner of the lawsuit, Johnny Depp together with Jeff Beck announced their upcoming album. The announcement came the day after Depp was awarded a whopping 10 million dollars on account of the defamation from his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp’s representative confirmed the news stating that a new project by the actor, Johnny Depp, would be arriving in the nearest future. The album would be coming out next month and he’d be partnering with Jeff Beck, a guitarist. However, Beck has stated that he met Depp five years ago. “We haven’t stopped laughing since I met him” he claimed.
Before the announcement, Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck performed on stage together several times in the U.K. The actor had joined the guitarist Beck at a concert on 29th May in Sheffield. Afterward, both of them went on to perform in London at the Robert Albert Hall where Depp’s ex-girlfriend, Kate Moss, attended the show and was seen leaving soon after the show ended. This was after Depp’s ex-girlfriend made a court appearance in the defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber heard to testify against his (Depp) ex-wife, Amber Heard.
Depp has gone on to join the guitarist, Beck, on tour to perform their collaboration single released in 2020 titled Isolation, a remix of the song by John Lennon released in the 1970s and also covers of classic hits like Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing and Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On.
