Jonquel Jones had a historic game to propel Team Spoon to a 129-122 victory against Team Coop at the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago and received the game’s Most Valuable Player award, ending an emotional week.

The New York Liberty star amassed 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, making her the first player in league history to win World MVP, WNBA Finals, Commissioner’s Cup and All-Star MVP. Jones also said she was playing with a heavy heart after the recent death of her aunt.

“Honestly, no matter what mood I’m in, basketball gets me right back into a good mood,” Jones said after the win.

TeamSpoon was unstoppable on offense with 8 players averaging double figures. Leading the charge was Caitlin Clark, who tallied 17 points and 5 assists, along with Nneka Ogwumike with 11 points and the honor of best-ever scoring performance by a player in WNBA All-Star Game history, breaking Rebekkah Brunson’s record.

Kelsey Mitchell powered the team with 28 points and Marina Mabrey with 23; however, 20-year-old Dominique Malonga was the eventual star with 12 points, 13 rebounds and an incredible first-half dunk – the first dunk in a WNBA All-Star Game since Sylvia Fowles in 2022.

The showcase drew a record All-Star crowd of 19,783 at Chicago’s United Center, exemplifying the League’s sustained expansion heading into its 30th anniversary.
