With less than four days left for them to their assume their duties, President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, have just been conferred with the two highest National Honours in the nation by outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari, at an investiture ceremony on Thursday morning, May 25 held at the State House, Abuja.
President-elect Tinubu was given the award of Grand Commander of the Order of Federal Republic, (GCFR), the highest national award reserved solely for Presidents, while Shettima was bestowed the award of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, (GCON), the second highest national award.
