Harry Kane kept his incredible run of scoring by netting his 300th goal in the top five leagues of Europe with Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday.
The England skipper was on the scoresheet twice, firstly netting a penalty after Lennart Karl was fouled, and then he curled a long-range effort for his second just a few minutes later. The brace meant Kane hit a landmark that took 405 games to reach across Bayern, Tottenham, and a loan to Norwich City.
Since his arrival at Bayern in 2023, Kane has racked up 88 league goals, including an extraordinary 36-goal debut season wining the Bundesliga Golden Boot. He has gone on to score even quicker this term, with a goal every 68 minutes on average, and thus, becoming the first player to claim the German top-flight scoring trophy in his first two full seasons.
A large chunk of his goals have been scored while playing in England, where he has scored 213 Premier League goals past the Tottenham net to become the club’s top all-time scorer of all time. Throughout his career, Kane has been a player who can adapt, scoring mostly inside the box but also significantly contributing to the penalty goal tally.
Having scored 500 senior goals for clubs and countries combined, the 32-year-old cannot be described as a player who is on the decline, hence his chase for more records.
