Staying in the Northern part of Nigeria, comes with a lot of restrictions, seeing that they are governed by the Sharia law.

The Commander General of the Kano state Hisbah Board, Sheikh Harun Ibn-Sina issued a warning to tricyclists to stop pasting Indecent pictures on their tricycles, and to stop carrying out acts that contravenes the tenets of Islam.

He released this statement while addressing a press on Tuesday. According to the statement, they brought it to their notice, that tricyclists in the state are fond of committing three acts, the first is that they play music so loud thereby constituting a nuisance in the society.

They also paste indecent pictures on their tricycles, including nude pictures, they also dress in a bad and indecent manner, knowing very well that they carry women

He further concluded that the acts mentioned are bad and goes against what Islam stands for, if they don’t adhere to the warnings they’ll begin to take action against them.

The commander said, “It has come to our notice that the tricycle riders are committing three major offenses which are against our norms and values as Muslims.

“They play music so loud that even those outside are disturbed.

“They paste pictures that are not good looking, some of them with exposed nudity on their vehicles, and lastly, they dress in a bad manner although they carry women.

“These attitudes are very bad and against the teachings of Islam. We are saying this as a warning to call their attention. But if they don’t stop, we will begin to take action. We won’t allow this to continue in Kano. So, they should fear Allah and stop it.”
