The Commander General of Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, has just resigned.
Daurawa, who announced his resignation in a video shared on Friday, March 1st had been in Kaduna where he is presently attending a retreat planned by the state House of Assembly.
According to the former boss, he tried his best to uphold the morality of the Kano State people including its TikTokers.
He had however, attributed his resignation to certain comments made by Governor Abba Yusuf in relation to his work during the week.
Daurawa had also apologised to the governor over some of his actions which made the governor uncomfortable, stressing that all his actions had been in good faith.
Just recently, Hisbah operatives nabbed a popular TikToker in Kano, Murja Kunya, over her activities which were against the Shari’a.
The TikToker was afterwards released before the adjourned date in court which resulted in a lot of controversy among the residents.
Yusuf, had on Thursday, during a meeting he held with Imams from the 44 local government areas of the state. shared his dissatisfaction with the way the Hisbah operatives in the state were carrying out their duties.
