The All Progressives Congress, APC, lost the governorship election in Kano State on Saturday to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

With 1,190,002 votes, NNPP candidate Abba Kabir Yusuf defeated APC contender Nasir Gawuna, who received 800,9055 votes, to claim victory.
