October this year, saw this Karim Benzema cliche the Balon D’or title, defeating Sadio Mane, Kevin de Bryne, and others to claim his very first Balon D’or title.
Benzema had the best season last season for Real Madrid as he scored 44 goals in 46 games in all competitions, he also helped Real Madrid to win La Liga and the champions league.
He received wide applause for his performance last season, even before the award ceremony, almost everyone predicted that he would win the Balon D’or seeing that he is the most qualified, even Sadio Mane agreed that Benzema deserved the award.
The Balon D’or winner has revealed that his former teammate, Christiano Ronaldo who has also won the Balon D’or five times is yet to congratulate him even though they played alongside each other in Real Madrid for nine years.
When asked if Ronaldo has reached out to him to congratulate him, he replied “No, not yet.”
