Edwin Chiloba, popular Kenyan fashion designer and LGBTQ rights Activist was found dead on Wednesday in a metal box by the Kenyan Police.
According to the Kenyan Police, a metal box was dropped on the road by a vehicle that did not have a plate number, subsequently a witness who was driving by the road when the body was dropped immediately alerted the police. On getting to the site, they saw Chiloba’s body dressed in a woman’s clothing in the box.
The body was taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue where an autopsy will be carried out on the body, to ascertain the cause of the death.
Peter Kimulwo, Uasin Gishu Head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation, said that the agency is trying to maximize all leads which might lead to the apprehension of those behind the death.
“We will tie up some information we have and that may lead to arrests,” he said.
