Kwara State Correctional Service Controller Adeyinka Oyun dies mysteriously

The Controller of the Kwara State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, has passed away. His sudden death was announced on Saturday by the Command’s spokesperson, Adegbulugbe Olumide.

Sudden Death Announcement
According to the statement, Controller Oyun died unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday, May 25, 2024. Olumide noted that Oyun had been active in the office until 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Statement from the Command
“We regret to announce the sudden death of Controller Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who passed on to glory in the early hours of today, Saturday, May 25, 2024. Until his demise, he was the Controller of Correctional Service, Kwara State Command. AA Oyun was in the office until 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024,” the statement read.

Oyun’s passing is described as a colossal loss to the Kwara State Command and the entire Nigerian Correctional Service. He was recognized as an active, dedicated, committed, and transparent leader, whose sudden death leaves a significant void in the organization.

Burial Arrangements

The statement also indicated that the arrangements for Oyun’s burial will be announced later. Further details regarding the cause of his death have not been ascertained at this time.
