After it was announced that Manchester United midfielder Casemiro will be leaving Old Trafford, LA Galaxy has reportedly been one of the clubs to show interest in signing the player.
So on Thursday, United declared that the Brazilian would leave this summer, even though the club still had an option for a 12-month extension of the existing contract. The move makes Casemiro’s future clear, and the 33-year-old can now plan his next step well ahead of time. The ex-Real Madrid player will probably attract a lot of attention. Clubs from Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Major League Soccer (MLS) have been mentioned as possible destinations for the player.

Reportedly, after it was confirmed that Riqui Puig will be out for a long time due to him injuring his knee for the second time, very seriously, LA Galaxy decided to strengthen their midfield.
Besides the fact that Casemiro is a free agent, it is his experience and winning mentality that also make him so attractive to the Galaxy. As one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, Casemiro came to United in 2022 but has not had the same performances this season as before.
United decided against triggering his extension on the existing terms and, although a shorter contract had been mentioned, both sides decided to separate. The temporary manager, Michael Carrick, said at the time that the message was to give clarity with Casemiro, who wants to finish the season strongly before a new chapter in his career.
