Ricardo La Volpe, ex Mexico’s Coach has bragged about the quality of the Mexican national team, notwithstanding that they lost to Colombia in an international friendly match in preparation for the world cup campaign.

Alexis Vegas scored the first goal for Mexico in the sixth minute into the first half, putting Mexico in the lead, Gerardo Arteaga scored the second goal for Mexico in the 29th minute. The first half ended with Mexico leading and Colombia with zero goals.
Colombia reinforced in the second half, as they equalized with Luis Sinisterra scoring two goals for Colombia, Wilmer Borris scoring another goal for Colombia, putting Colombia in the lead, failure of the Mexican team to equalize gave Colombia victory. This is an indication that the game of football is filled with surprises.
Speaking on Mexico’s performance, in the match, La Volpe praised Mexico for having the best players in the world and also being able to create good chances.
“Mexico has the players that the world is looking for. Tecatito Corona and Hirving Lozano are players that can create chances. If not [Gerardo] Martino has Uriel Antuna and Alexis Vegas as his replacement,” La Volpe remarked after Mexico vs Colombia.
“Martino has given Luis Chavez from Pachuca an opportunity with the national team and he is a great player. Andres Guadardo’s age doesn’t help him and Hector Hector Herrera made a bad decision going to the United States. Martino needs box-to-box midfield.
