The Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to sack its Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Olusegun Agbaje, for calling Igbo people in Lagos State: ‘Immigrants.’
This is coming after Agbaje had purportedly in an interview with Channels TV, given reasons on why residents living in the Okota and Oshodi axis of Lagos, mostly predominated by Igbos, could not get their Permanent Voter Cards because the Igbos were ‘immigrants in the state.
The LP Campaign Council spokesperson in Enugu State, Kenneth Okonkwo, while reacting to Agbaje’s statement, had opined that if the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, failed to sack Agbaje, it simply meant the electoral umpire had decided to rig the 2023 general elections in favour of the APC.
Okonkwo had then called upon Nigerians to arise and fight for a better country a
“We will march victoriously to the end. God bless Nigeria.”
