Professional Engagement with Organizers

Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin announced this development following a meeting between CP Ishola and the protest organizers in Ikeja. He emphasized the commissioner’s directive for an optimal deployment of resources at strategic locations, urging officers to maintain professionalism and civility while being firm.

Assurance of Peaceful Protests

Hundeyin noted that arrangements have been made with sister security agencies to guarantee maximum security for both protesters and other Lagosians. He urged the organizers and their followers to remain peaceful and law-abiding, which they assured during the meeting.

Proactive Measures for Safety

The discussions with protest leaders are part of proactive measures to ensure a safe and secure environment before, during, and after the demonstrations, underscoring the commitment to maintaining order throughout the planned events.
