Queens College in the state’s Yaba Area has had a fire outbreak, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The service’s director, Margaret Adeseye, said in a statement made available to The PUNCH on Sunday night that the fire originated in a two-room apartment situated behind the staff housing for the school.
However, Adeseye said that no one was hurt in the event and added that workers from the state fire department promptly extinguished the fire.
It has not yet been determined what started the fire.
The Lagos State Fire Service and Federal Fire Service worked together to extinguish the fire, while the police, who were also informed, stopped thugs from forcibly entering the school grounds.
She added that no life was lost in the tragedy.
