The Annual Women Mini Marathon tagged: “Lagos Women Run,” has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 6 am.

The General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, Bolaji Oregaba, who announced the event, yesterday, Thursday, November 9 said that because of the marathon the following routes have been dedicated for the race to ensure the ultimate safety and security of all the participants/runners

The starting point is at Onikan roundabout through Awolowo road to Five Cowrie bridge (Falomo Bridge) to Akin Adesola Street. Then from Akin Adesola Street to Adeola Odeku Street, on to Ahmadu Bello Way, to Bonny Camp Bridge then to Independence Bridge on to Island Club Road (by Nigeria Police Zonal Headquarters, Zone2), and then to Mobolaji Johnson Arena (formerly Onikan Stadium) which is the finishing point.

However, Oreagba had revealed that the adjoining streets along Awolowo Road would be temporarily closed.

He had said: “The adjoining streets along Akin Adesola inwards Ahmadu Bello Way (Bar Beach) will be closed, together with the adjoining streets along Adeola Odeku road.”

“The Ahmadu Bello Way inwards Bonny Camp will be closed to traffic at the Adeola Odeku intersection.” He continued. “Motorists can then follow these alternative routes for their movements:

From Onikan to Awolowo Rd, use JK Randle Avenue (TBS Rd) to old Nitel Building to Outer Marina to Obalende Bridge to Dolphin/Osborne Rd to Alfred Rewane Road and then continue their journey with little to no hitches.
