Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), Lagos Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice will lead the prosecution team in the trial of Mrs. Bolanle Raheem’s killer.

Bolanle Raheem, a lawyer, and expectant mother was slain by a police officer while coming from church with her family on Christmas Day in Lagos.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who led a delegation to the family’s Ajah residence on Tuesday, stated that the state will see that justice is delivered in the issue.

Speaking at the deceased’s home, Onigbanjo stated that they have Mr. Governor’s consent to inform you that justice would be served in this case.

As soon as the police submit the case file, the matter will be charged in court.

Furthermore, Special Adviser Tubosun Alake stated that the governor urged the family to be hopeful.

He prayed to The Almighty to comfort the family.

Mr. Gbenga Raheem, the late Bolanle’s spouse, hailed Sanwo-Olu for his compassion.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Bar Association has revealed that the police officer who reportedly shot and killed Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer and Croston Homes’ main consultant in Lagos, had served for thirty-three years.

Akorede Habeeb, the association’s national spokesperson, stated in a statement that the errant officer has been identified as “Drambi Vandi,” an assistant superintendent of police.

The NBA further requested that the police “formally reveal and swiftly release to Nigerians the fuller facts of the errant officer and other officers responsible for this terrible conduct.
