Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu Cautions Residents to Stay Off Blue Line Rail Tracks.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had on Saturday, October 22, directed the residents of the state to keep off the Blue Line Rail tracks.

The governor, who announced via his verified Twitter handle, stated that the new Blue Line Rail was electrified, and residents were warned against crossing on either side of the tracks.

The Governor also posted a video of the Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority -LAMATA, Mr. Abimbola Akinajo, advising the residents of the state to use the overhead bridge if they must cross the tracks.

The governor had tweeted: “The Blue Line rail is an electrified system, therefore, there is a need for citizens to keep off the tracks.”

The Lagos state government is expected to start the test run of the Blue Line Rail service this December.
