Lasaco Distributes N353 million to 126 Beneficiaries of Deceased Local Government Personnel

Lasaco Assurance plc paid N353 million to the 128 beneficiaries of deceased Local Government and State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) employees to meet their insurance claims.

This was announced during the Presentation of Cheques Beneficiaries programme in Alausa-Ikeja.

Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, underlined the government’s efforts to prioritise the welfare of its personnel.

He said that the Lagos State Government, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has demonstrated its commitment to the well-being of local government employees by approving the payment of N353 million in insurance benefits to 128 beneficiaries of deceased employees.

He also stated that over the last year, the ministry distributed N391 million to 264 beneficiaries of Local Government workers and SUBEB, proving the government’s consistent commitment.

Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,app lauded Sanwo-Olu for his dedication to the well-being of his employees and their families.

She praised Lasaco and Haggai Insurance Brokers for their critical role in providing insurance benefits to the beneficiaries of deceased local government and SUBEB personnel, stating that they worked hard to ensure that the funds were distributed smoothly.

Mrs. Bolarinwa encouraged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely in memory of the dead.

Mr. Razzaq Abiodun, Managing Director of Lasaco Assurance Plc, praised the government for its continued payment of insurance benefits to its employees, underlining that Lasaco is committed to delivering financial security and peace of mind to its customers.
