With less than 24 hours left to the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, has revealed that Ahmad Lawan, the outgoing President of the Senate, has conceded to work for the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as Senate President.
The Imo state governor had made this known today, during a chat with the State House correspondents after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on the commemoration of June 12 Democracy Day.
He had also conveyed his confidence that Akpabio, the preferred candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Senate President position would emerge victorious on Tuesday, June 13.
Meanwhile, Akpabio has vowed to work together with all the Senators regardless of their political affiliations.
