Lorient has confirmed that Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi will not be in action on their weekend trip to Troyes. Moffi who featured for Lorient in their goalless draw against Reims picked up an ankle sprain injury in the game and had to be substituted in the 25th minute.
According to Lorient, Moffi would not be in action in their match on Saturday, due to his ankle sprain. The club also said that they cannot specify when he’ll be returning but they’ll keep the public posted in the coming days.
“Ongoing care. Absent next weekend in Troyes. The period of unavailability will be specified according to the evolution, in the coming days,” Lorient stated in a statement on its website.
Considering how important Moffi is to the team, this is a big blow to the squad. Moffi already has eight goals in ten league appearances for Lorient this season. Lorient currently ranks second in Ligue 1 table
