Manchester United kept the good vibe going with Ruben Amorim by winning 4-2 against Brighton at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have now won three games in a row in the Premier League and four consecutive matches at home.
Actually, United took the lead through the newly acquired Matheus Cunha who scored a nice curling shot of his first goal for the club. On the way back from the dressing room, they were two goals ahead after Luke Shaw taking the ball from Jan Paul van Hecke, hence Casemiro’s shot hitting the side of the net after a slight deflection from Bart Verbruggen.
At the beginning of the second half, the home team was close to scoring a third when Verbruggen with a great reflex saved Bruno Fernandes’ shot. In contrast, Bryan Mbeumo was the one who scored Brighton’s third goal shortly after, hitting the net with a low shot although the referee was told by the players that there was a foul in the buildup of the attack.

Danny Welbeck gave back a goal to the visitors with a marvelous free kick before the replacement Charalampos Kostoulas made it 3-2 in the added time thus giving them a glimmer of hope for an injury-time comeback. Not so long after, Mbeumo got his second and secured all three points with a follow-up shot.
This victory takes United to the top four of the Premier League, which is another step on the way of Amorim’s growing power at Old Trafford.
