Roberto Mancini has refused to comment on his own contract with City after the club was accused of being guilty of 114 charges out of 115 in the Premier League.
Mancini was in charge of City from 2009-13, when they won the Premier League in 2012 and the FA Cup.
City has been accused of false accounting involving the club providing false financial figures on player and manager payments over nine seasons starting from the season Mancini took over.
But the ex-City boss would not be drawn on his deal when quizzed about the speculation.
“This is not my problem. We have had a discussion for the past four or five years. This is nothing new,” Mancini said.
“Manchester City have not been found guilty and I don’t have anything to do with the double contract – that’s them.”
There were reports on Friday of an independent commission having decided on 114 counts, though the Premier League have not announced the decision.
City have always refuted the allegations and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has said the club is confident it can clear its name.
Any punishment is yet to be confirmed and might be subject to an appeal.
