It was indeed quite a surprise after Liverpool disgraced Manchester United at Anfield as they thrashed United 7-0. Liverpool was leading by just a goal at the end of the first half, however, things turned sour for United during the second half, as Liverpool loaded United with six goals.
Marcus Rashford featured for United in the match but could do nothing but watch how his team was humiliated hands down at Anfield.
The defeat sparked a lot of outrage from United fans, as no one could exactly place what happened to the team which won the Carabao Cup last week Sunday.
Speaking on their defeat, Marcus Rashford has said that he wishes that they have another opportunity to right things, however, he advised that they shouldn’t let the loss make them lose their focus for the rest of the season.
He tweeted: “I wish we could play a game today to try and put things right. The result is the result, and we can’t see past that! We must not let it define our season. We have to trust the process and stick together.”
