Lee Sharpe, ex Manchester United winger, has said that Argentina goal keeper, Emiliano Martinez would be an ideal choice for Manchester United in the January window transfer.
Considering Martinez heroic deeds for Argentina who later became the 2022 world cup winners, many clubs will interested in signing this herioc goal keeper.
According to Lee, Martinez has played in the biggest football competition and he did really well, as he saved more penalties than anybody in the 2022 world cup campaign, and would really be the perfect choice for Manchester United.
He also added that considering how good Manchester United current goal keeper is, David de Gea, Martinez would cope under such a pressure.
“You’ve got to remember that all goalkeepers are a bit different to most people -playing a different position, with different pressures, and he’s played in one of the biggest games in the world and maybe overreacted a bit but I wouldn’t take away from what he’s done or what he’s achieved,” Sharpe told NewCasinoUK.
“I think he’s saved more penalties at a World Cup than anybody, had a really good World Cup and I think he’s a really good keeper and I think he will be good for United.
“I know there are question marks over De Gea so maybe he would be decent to come in and we certainly know that he can cope under pressure.”
Emiliano did really well for Argentina in the world cup, but Manchester United has David De they and might not want to bring in another goal keeper.
