Matrix Energy, a prominent oil marketing company, has categorically denied allegations of importing sub-standard Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), diesel, and Jet A-1 fuel from Malta and Russia. The firm described the claims as “lies” aimed at damaging its reputation and that of its CEO, Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu.
In a statement, Matrix Energy clarified that it has always imported products that meet approved specifications, with no quality compromises or sabotage. The company emphasized its commitment to quality, claiming it is recognized for being reliable and satisfying customers.
Matrix Energy also absolved the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) of any wrongdoing, focusing on NMDPRA’s obligation to enforce product standards.
The firm addressed particular allegations, such as those accusing it of importing “off-spec” diesel from Russia and blending it in Togo’s Lome City area. Matrix Energy countered these assertions, citing compliance with international standards for all its products.
Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu, Chairman of the Presidential Economic Coordination Council, disclosed Matrix Energy’s commitment to unalloyed service delivery in producing industrial products at competitive prices in Nigeria.
