Business coach and gospel executive Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy, has retracted her earlier accusations against gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, following a defamation lawsuit filed at the Abuja High Court.
Chinwo, through her legal representative Pelumi Olajengbesi, took legal action after Nnadi accused her of financial misconduct during her ongoing dispute with former manager, Ezekiel ‘EeZee Tee’ Onyedikachukwu.
Nnadi, who serves as managing director of EeZee Conceptz—the label Chinwo was previously signed to—had alleged that the singer diverted funds.
However, the claims were later countered with verified documents, including email correspondence and payment receipts.
As part of the legal resolution, Chinwo’s legal team demanded a public apology and the removal of all defamatory content from Nnadi’s social media accounts.
In an Instagram post shared recently, Nnadi publicly withdrew her claims and extended an olive branch.
“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo,” she wrote.
She added, “I also pray Almighty God to perfect the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”
Nnadi also pledged to refrain from making further defamatory remarks about Chinwo or her legal counsel.
Despite the development, Chinwo’s legal standoff with EeZee Tee remains unresolved. The singer has accused her former manager of contract fraud, claiming he replaced their original 2017 agreement without her knowledge or approval.
She further alleged that the label withheld approximately $345,000 from her digital revenue and event earnings, with no clear explanation or remittance.
