An angry mob on Friday, 10 February angrily beat up a supporter of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the PDP political party in the University Town of Nsukka, Enugu State, for purportedly vandalizing the campaign posters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
It has been gathered that the incident occurred at Total Filling Station in Nsukka Town and a video capturing the incident had been shared on the WhatsApp platform. The man, wearing a white T-shirt and trousers adorned with PDP logos and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s face, could be seen walking along the road surrounded by a crowd of young people who were beating him up.
Recall that campaign billboards of the Labour Party candidates had been destroyed in different parts of Enugu before this recent incident.
