Mohbad’s Management Declares Battle for Unpaid Royalties Amid Controversy

The management of the late singer Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has vowed to persist in their battle to recover his unpaid royalties, which were allegedly withheld by his former record label, Marlian Music. This statement was issued via Mohbad’s Instagram page over the weekend.

The statement revealed, “Prior to his untimely demise, Mohbad had initiated legal proceedings to reclaim the lion’s share of his songs and the royalties that were unjustly retained by Marlian Music.

“We are unwavering in our determination to secure his music catalog and unpaid royalties. Our primary aim is to ensure the financial well-being of those he left behind, particularly his son, Liam Imole.

“We are calling for #JusticeforMohbad and earnestly seek support in our endeavor to liberate his catalog from Marlian Music. This pursuit embodies the justice that Mohbad passionately pursued during his lifetime.”

MohBad’s departure from Marlian Music in 2022 stemmed from allegations of unpaid royalties dating back to 2019. Tragically, he passed away at the young age of 27 on Tuesday.

The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise have sparked controversy, with some suggesting that his former boss, Naira Marley, may have played a role in his death. Although Mohbad’s father and others have refuted these claims, there are suspicions that coercion may have been involved.

While reports indicate that Mohbad succumbed to an ear infection, the circumstances surrounding his passing remain unclear. Given the uncertainty, there are calls for an autopsy to be conducted, even though he has already been laid to rest.

Dear reader, what are your thoughts on this matter? Do you believe there might be hidden issues within the Marlian record label? The saga surrounding Mohbad’s death continues to raise questions that demand answers.
