MultiChoice Group, which operates DStv and GOtv, has set the record straight amid circulating false reports that contestants must pay to try out for Big Brother Naija.
In a Tuesday statement posted on its verified social media accounts, the company urged fans and prospective participants to seek information exclusively from official outlets such as Africa Magic and the show’s official pages.
The broadcaster made it clear that there is no fee attached to the audition process for eligible Nigerians.
“Any request for money related to Big Brother Naija auditions is deceptive and should be ignored,” the statement said.
MultiChoice further advised the public to remain vigilant against scams, whether delivered online or in person, warning that no legitimate audition involves payment.
“Access to Big Brother Naija auditions is free, transparent, and open to all qualified applicants,” the notice emphasized.
The message concluded with appreciation for the viewers’ enthusiasm and a reminder to stay cautious to avoid falling prey to misinformation as the audition window opens.
