Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has joined rival Turkish Super Lig team Sivasspor after mutually agreeing to end his contract with Fatih Karagumruk, according to PUNCH Sports Extra. The former CSKA Moscow winger has a two-year contract with Sivasspor and will represent his new team in the UEFA Europa Conference League this year.“We have parted ways by mutual agreement with professional football player Ahmed Musa, who was included in our 2021/2022 season,” Karagumruk wrote on Twitter.
After three appearances for Karagumruk during the current 2022–23 season, Musa leaves the Istanbul-based club. On Saturday, when Sivasspor takes on Karagumruk, he may make his Sivasspor debut. The 29-year-old striker finished the previous season with 4 goals in 34 games. Before joining Fatih Karagümrük, he played for VVV Venlo, CSKA Moscow, Leicester City, and Al Nassr.
